Here is a post from Canada about an undercover police training course where things seem to have gone badly wrong. I am not quite sure what to say, In fairness to all it is probably best to wait for the official investigation.
However, for now I will just pose a couple of questions of the people in the room where these things allegedly occurred.
Did no one stand up at the time and say ‘stop’? And if not, why not?
There are many aspects of undercover training that involve sensitive matters difficult dilemmas and things that are outside of ordinary uniform policing. That does not mean that anything goes. It means that those conducting the training need to address these topics in a very professional way It will be interesting to read what happened and who was present if and when it did.
